Mother's Day!

Some of the coolest things only happen to Mother's. Doesn't matter how you are a mother, just the fact that you are a mother... you'd understand and appreciate THIS!

Another video

Since I got this video from my mom, we have to watch it daily. The Girls LOVE IT!! THIS IS MY DADDY!!

Typical day...

Nothing new to report, other than the usual. But, I'm learning to welcome boring days!! We went to this "Lighthouse Festival" at the Piney Point Lighthouse. It wasn't much to see at all, and the festival included 2 tents and 2 food trailers, along with a square dancing show. But you could go up in a two-story lighthouse so we took the girls up there. It was old, built in the 1860's and the girls enjoyed climbing up.
We went for a walk on the beach, and the closer we got to the point the more it smelled like gasoline. We found a huge (not enormous) ship that was carrying off shore oil to the refinery behind the lighthouse. It stunk like gas and gave us all headache and belly aches. But... I guess it's another notch on our sight seeing belt.

videos

Seriously, isn't technology amazing!! In this really trying part of my life, I am relishing the fact that I have pictures galore of my Daddy, and to top it off, VIDEO! So... if I'm having a hard day, and want to hear Daddy talk, or laugh, or sing, or dance, I can just pop in a video and THERE IT IS. SO much better than before, like when my Mom lost HER Daddy. So, by the grace of God and my dear husband, we got out VHS tapes last night and he converted them (thanks you Best Buy having an awesome deal on converters)!!! I am super excited!!
So... this is the thing. Daddy would tease saying that President Jimmy Carter always had a "painted on" smile. It was fake,s o whenever Daddy didn't want to smile, he'd say "Jimmy Carter"! I found this last night!!
